The Committee issued these concluding observations after reviewing the initial report of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (Vietnam) in 1993. In paragraph 140, the Committee notes concern at the ‘growing number of street children involved in unlawful activities, such as prostitution, drug abuse and illicit trafficking in drugs’.
