UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Consideration of the Report of Spain (1991)

The Committee considered Spain’s second periodic report concerning articles 13-15 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in 1991. During the session, the Committee asked whether there was a drug problem among students in Spain and whether issues regarding AIDS and drug addiction were included in health education (paragraph 273). The representative of Spain noted that a group of teachers had been appointed ‘to work on the problem of drug addiction’ (paragraph 280).
