The Committee considered the second periodic report of Finland in 1991. During the session, members of the Committee asked about drug addiction among youth in Finland (paragraph 205). Finland noted that its emphasis in this area has been on the prevention of drug use, including by ‘ensuring good living conditions and the provision of other interests and activities to children and young people’ (paragraph 213).
