UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Cyprus (1998)

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 1998, after consideration of the third periodic report of Cyprus. In paragraph 297, the Committee asks Cyprus to include in its next periodic report ‘comprehensive information on the extent of drug-addiction in Cyprus’, information on whether a bill on illicit drugs (which was before Cyprus’ Parliament at the time) was passed, and an assessment of the ‘anti-narcotic/therapeutic units proposed under the bill’.
