UN Human Rights Committee: Concluding Observations on Georgia (1997)

In the initial concluding observations on Georgia, the Committee voiced its concern about the increase of numbers of children affected by poverty and social dislocation which leads to an increase in the number of street children, delinquents and drug addicts. The Committee urged the State to take urgent steps to protect children in accordance with the provisions of the Covenant.
