Policing Pregnancy: Implications of the Attorney General's Reference, Fovargue S and Miola J (1994)

This article analyses the impact of a House of Lords case on manslaughter and its impact on maternal liability. The analysis includes an overview of the jurisprudence on the status of the foetus in English law and its synergy with  criminal law, including the legislation by which women using drugs while pregnant could face criminal prosecution as a result of the judgement from the House of Lords.
