Report of the International Narcotics Control Board for 2010 (2011)

This article is an excerpt from the International Narcotics Control Board Annual Report for 2010. In this article the Board provides recommendations to the main stakeholders, namely to Governments, to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the World Health Organization, and other relevant international organizations. The recommendations on the implementation of the international drug control regime and specific control measures in this regards, including eradication of coca bush plantations, state administration of psychoactive substances and its effect on the criminal rates, the abuse of prescription drugs, and others. The recommendations are source of information regarding the position of the Board on the issues related to harm reduction, the right to health and access to essential medicines, and other relevant issues which are of concern for the human rights expert community.
