Report of the International Narcotics Control Board for 2011: Social cohesion, social disorganisation and illegal drugs, INCB (2012)

This article is an excerpt from the INCB 2011 Annual Report. It discusses the connection between marginal communities and drug abuse. Further it discusses threats and risks to social cohesion among which there are persistent social inequality, migration, political and economic transformation, emerging cultures of excess, drug economies etc. In the conclusion the article analyses approaches to solution of the problem of social disorganisation and presents INCB recommendations to this issue.
