Universal Declaration of Human Rights (adopted 10 December 1948) UNGA Res 217 A(III)

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a non-binding instrument that establishes the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals.  The 30 Articles articulating such freedoms were further elaborated in both the ICCPR and ICESCR--both legally binding to those party.
