The applicant, Mr. Milan Trifkovic, Croation national, was arrested on conviction of possession and sell of drugs. Mr. Trifkovic was detained from the moment of his arrest in November 2006 and until May 2010. He claims that his complaint to challenge the lawfulness of decisions extending his detention were dismissed without examination. He relies on the right to a fair trial.
