Kojo Koram is a lecturer in law at the University of Essex. His research interests include questions around international law, empire and race, with a specific focus on the history of the international drug treaties. He achieved a PhD in law from Birkbeck College, University of London in 2017. Prior to returning to academia, Kojo was called to the Bar of England and Wales by Middle Temple and worked as legal adviser at Release, the UK's centre of expertise for drug law.
