Rehabilitation in Latin America: An unethical, inhumane and ineffective practice (February 2014)

This report was published by the International Drug Policy Consortium in 2014. In the advocacy note, the issue of mandatory rehabilitation centres in the context of Latin America is tackled. Instead of medical treatment, the methods used in the rehabilitation centres have no scientific basis. Overall, the advocacy note highlights the ineffectiveness of compulsory rehabilitation in Latin America.
