UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, Concluding Observations on Liberia (2012)

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2012 after its consideration of the periodic report of Liberia. It expresses concerns about the widespread drug use among adolescents and the limited programmes available for those affected by substance abuse. It recommends developing more programmes of education and awareness-rising on the negative effects of substance abuse and providing counseling and rehabilitation services for them (paragraphs 66 & 67).
