The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2013 after its consideration of the periodic report of Uzbekistan. It notes the positive action of the State to discourage the use of drugs and psychotropic substances among children and to provide for them free medical services in treatment and preventive care establishments.
It recommends the State to collect data on the consumption of these substances and to raise awareness on their harmful effects on children’s health (paragraphs 53 & 54).
