This report presents the summaries of cases transmitted to the Governments and the replies received from them. The Special Rapporteur is concerned about the imposition of the death penalty for drug offences (in China and the Islamic Republic of Iran) and about the high rate of extrajudicial killings in Colombia as a result of the violence generated also by drug traffickers; other countries mentioned in relation to drug issues are Peru and USA (see paragraphs 177, 185, 356, 474 and 629).
