This report contains the findings and recommendations of the Special Rapporteur on his mission to the United States of America. The Special Rapporteur noticed the increased use of the death penalty, which is discriminatorily imposed.
He highlights the fact that this sentence should be imposed only for most serious crimes and not for major drug trafficking offences, as the law allows within some states.
