This report contains the findings and recommendations of the Special Rapporteur on her mission to Mexico. It notes the rising crime rate, often linked to the use of and trafficking in narcotics.
She also brings to the State’s attention the high number of human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings as a result of the abuse of force by the police and military, putting forward individual cases of alleged extrajudicial killings as well as the massacres which had place in different regions of the country.
