This report contains the findings and recommendations of the Special Rapporteur on her mission to Honduras. She expresses concerns about the HIV epidemic within the country and about the level of impunity and the high number of extrajudicial killings by security forces, focusing more on the violations of the right to life of children.
She also emphasizes the phenomenon of youth gangs (maras) and the effect of drugs and violence on them: many of them commit crimes because of the need to obtain money for drugs and because of the effect that drugs have on them.
