This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Working Group on its mission to El Salvador. It notes the high crime rate in the country because of the organized violence of the maras, other gangs and the groups involved in drug trafficking.
It also mentions that drug-related offences are considered serious offences and there are no precautionary measures available for people charged with these offences.
