Taking Control: Pathways to drug policies that work, Global Commission on Drug Policy (2014)

The report makes recommendations about possible drug policies based on scientific evidence, public health principles and human rights standards that can render the drugs-related problems more manageable.

The Commissioners advocate for prioritizing health and community safety, ensuring access to essential medicines, decriminalizing the drug use and possession, allowing experiments in regulating markets of illicit drugs. All these issues should also be addressed at the 2016 UNGASS.
