The Special Rapporteur notes the limited access to health facilities and services related to the prevention and control of Hepatitis C for vulnerable people and injecting drug users (who can be also co-infected with HIV) because of the unaffordable costs. Prevention activities such as professional and public education, counseling and regular screening programmes are allegedly also unavailable to them.
