Report of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous people, Rodolfo Stavenhagen (2003)

In a section giving a case-study of Colombia, the Special Rapporteur notes that many indigenous communities face violent civil conflict between security forces, guerillas, and 'criminal elements linked to drug trafficking',  and that their fundamental human rights are being systematically violated.
