UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Concluding Observations on the Third Periodic Report of Ireland (July 2015)

The UN committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights issued these concluding observations in July 2015, following the third periodic report of Ireland. The Committee acknowledges the States ratification of various international instruments, as well as welcomes a series of national efforts to promote and build on economic, social and cultural rights. 

These concluding observations also set out a series of subjects for concern and recommendations. Topics covered are concerns regarding various state practices, discrimination against marginalized groups, workers rights and unemployment, institutionalized forced labour with reference to the Magdalene laundries, right to adequate housing, domestic violence, poverty, children's rights, right to food, right to health, right to education and Travellers rights.
