This report discusses the protection of the right to life during law enforcement, analyzing various issues in respect to the use of force by police in different countries. It notes that some laws are violating the right to life, for example the permission for the State to shoot down civilian airplanes in the name of drug control in Honduras.
It concludes by asking all the State to bring domestic laws on the use of force in line with international standards.
