Report to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) on the Implementation by the Russian Federation of the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (November 2015)

This report was published by Public Mechanism for Monitoring Drug Policy Reform in the Russian Federation in November 2015.

The report sets out a series of recommendations to the violations of articles 2, 5, and 12 of CEDAW by the Russian Federation in relation to women with drug dependence. Topics covered in the report are lack of evidence-based standards as well as harm reduction services in Russia, recommendation to amend national laws, battling social and state promoted stigma, access to HIV prevention services and rehabilitation, as well as access to reproductive services.
